Market Trends

I've been wondering . . .

The market for sailing vessels tends to peak at the end of the winter/spring cruising season. Does the powerboat market have a seasonal trend as well?

IMO the season for powerboats starts around January with the opening of boat shows across the nation. Typically it heats up as summer and Memorial Day Weekend approach then drops off some after July 4th and continues to drop toward Labor Day Weekend.

I guess the majority of boat buyers have made their selections and bought their boats in anticipation of Memorial Day fun. After July 4th there's only one big weekend ahead (Labor Day) so sales are dropping off. After Labor Day it's time to get the kids ready for school so boat buyers have other things on their mind
