That looks to be the same model I have. It uses a SS bar to ratchet up, and I drop it manually. Works good for me.

I also used the Royal for years to pull a 44 lb. delta with 40 feet of 3/8 chain. It worked great and we anchor a lot. The manual will save running heavy wires or a dedicated battery. That was my motivation.
