Luhrs 41 - Twin Diesels - West Coast

The friendliest place on the web for anyone who enjoys boating.

The trouble with government auctions is that often the boats have been in sub standard storage for a number of years. Note the dirt and mold on the deck. Another problem is that they are often stripped of anything that can be hauled off and sold or reused. I am shocked to see the fenders and the inflatable are still there.

If you are interested in the boat follow the auction, it will probably go significantly higher but you are right, the "Cats" are worth more than that.

A website I follow has a Luhrs Twin Cat diesel up for sale - Its an auction site for municipalities and institutions to sell off surplus assets.

the boat is currently at $4500 - Pretty sure the engines are worth that

Govdeals.com then boats for sale

I doubt the engines are worth that even if you could snap your fingers and make the boat disappear. It's a surplus asset more than likely because it wasn't worth what the owner owed in taxes. They will sell it to a dreamer with no idea what he is getting into.

I knew a guy who paid a dollar for a wood 36' trawler and when resto was done he had $225k in it. Beautiful but?
