The gypsy is not marked but I believe it's 5/16.

Ideal are fairly basic but bulletproof. My ACW is 30 yo but parts are still available, even since buy-out by Schaefer Marine late last year. Of course a number of items, like bearings, are standard sizes available locally as well.

The wildcats are changeable. Ideal has them from 1/4 to 1/2". Own 2 of their windlasses. Top quality and near bullet proof.

These are great units .

For folks that USE anchors they are about the best that can be found.

The cast aluminum crap with tiny Italian DC motors do look prettier on deck , between replacements.
