Hurricane II HD Hydronic Furnace

Hurricane II H2D 35,000 BTU diesel fired furnace with 1500W, 120 vac supplemental immersion unit. $3,000 OBO + shipping. Send PM or email me at adenduyf at shaw dot ca.

This is a wonderful system for live-aboards - I lived on a 40 ft trawler and it provided more than enough heat (edit...not the boat in the picture. I still have Killick the 50ft Defever!). 2,500 total hours. The compressor has only 1,500 hours (was replaced under warranty). System was new fall of 2010 and taken out of service summer of 2013. In storage since then. I've since sold the boat, so not required any more. The price of the complete system was in excess of $6,000 (without installation). Willing to part out some of the system.

Complete with:
Multi-Zone control unit, wiring cables (uncut from factory) and fuses, etc
Thermostat and multi function remote control panel
Header tank and expansion tank
In-line bleed valves and many bronze ball-valves
Circulation pump 12v
Fuel filter and fittings
1 - ITR small bus heater #6002 and 2 - ITR large bus heaters #6093
Exhaust pipe and muffler and wrap
Fresh air intake hose

And I have 9' of the stainless flex exhaust hose, and one of the combination intake/exhaust through-hulls.

PM me if interested. Might help for the install!

Thanks - I've only got a short piece of the exhaust hose. Those thru-hulls are a spendy item. I've actually got one....but it's still attached to the boat it was installed in . The new owner has promised it to me, but we just have to remove it. A bit of a PITA to do when the boat is in the water and the rainy season is upon us. Cheers, Alisa

Yes, and great factory support. Now for that plug, we had some green water episodes this summer and can agree as to need for plug under those kinds of conditions.

Looks like the system is sold. Will refresh the thread again if for some reason the sale doesn't work out. Thanks much, Alisa

If all goes well, the system will be gone at the end of the month. If not, I'll re-list it in December.
