My old reliable Radar

Finally bought a new Electronics suite at the Miami Boat Show, and took out my old reliable 1623 Furuno B&W Radar. Maybe someone out there would like to have it for $100.....I'll pack, you ship. I replaced the drive belt 2 years ago, otherwise, no issues ever.

Don't know what year.....it came with the boat, but like I said, other than the drive belt, there was never any issue. I don't mind saying that I'm a bit insecure that the new Garmin radar may not measure up in reliability. I've even contemplated mounting it beneath the new Garmin on the mast. Sometimes this new-fangled stuff makes me nervous.

Anyway, Northern Spy wants it, but if you remember the deal he did on the davit, the thing was shipped to his parents in NY. They KEPT it!. Now he knows if I send the Radar to NY, he might loose that too.

Northern Spy, your response "Really? $100? If so I'll buy it. matches your avitar perfectly.

I think he just paid a $100 for a PhotoShop picture of a Furuno radar.

Hi- I'd love to have it, I'll have to figure out where to mount it on my old 3607 but I've always wanted one but never could spend the $, I think it would be of value even on our lake, I have the Sirius weather on my raymarine but it is slow and never boots up and I am afraid it won't work when I need it... any way if your serious I would really love to have it, is the cable and all with it? That is of course if it is still available. Thank you

No, sorry Northern Spy, I was never able to take Gilligan's Island seriously. What about an avatar of your boat.

Peter B may have a point there, Northern Spy. Perhaps a more authoritative Avatar would help.
