Camano Troll for sale

I have, reluctantly, put my Camano Troll (aka: Camano 28 or Camano 31 -- they are all the same) on the market.* To see more about the boat and its travels, see my blog at:

http://camano130.blogspot.com/index.html

Photo is attached.

RE: Camano Troll for sale

Great blog! *And you have inspired me to look at smaller boats for cruising other than what I thought was feasible.*

Anyone know if the Camano's are still being manufactured? They look like really nice boats. I don't see them in the NADA book online though? Thoughts?

They stopped production a few years ago when the economy went south. As far as I understand, the 41 was sold to Bracewell Yachts, and the 31 went to another investor. A new 31 was launched in late 2011, but I think that was the last one. http://www.waterlineboats.com/2011/new-camano-31-launched/ We almost bought one last year, so put a lot of research into it - great boats, by the way. I'm not surprised it isn't listed in NADA, which tends to only list smaller and high production boats. When we were deciding how much to offer on a Camano, we called BoatUS and got a quote from them. They are all semi-custom when it comes to options, so fair value is really going to be specific to each boat (and, of course, condition is a big driver of value).

Good luck, Allen! Camano is an amazing boat and I'm sure it won't last long on the market. We actually read all through your blog when we were shopping, and would probably be coming to see it if we hadn't already bought a new boat.

Allen,

Can you tell me some more details about your boat? I'd like to know the year, price and whether it has a generator? What is included in the sale as well?

This thread is over a year and a half old. It was revived from the dead. Hopefully he has sold the boat by now.

There is one for sale in Savannah, "Betty Lou" . Very nice and well built boat with Yanmar, but $157k for a 28 footer is out of my reach.

The Camano 31 molds have been moved to China to restart production, but I don't believe they have built one yet. I have two Camanos, a 31' and a 41'. The 31' is for sale if anyone is interested. Built in Canada in 1996, hull #51, its in perfect condition.
