Bruce type Anchor 30 Kg

I purchased this 30 kg Bruce type anchor for my boat. My bow sprit is too small for the shackle to pass through.

I paid $200, will sell for same.

PM me if you are interested.

I would also consider a trade for a Danforth type anchor in the 40-70 pound range.

Here is a of pictures of the anchor. It is heavy duty galvanized steel construction. The previous owner, who I know used it for many years in some demanding situations. The only markings on it are "SL Claw 30 Kg".

I have a big Danforth in Tulalip......it is a least 40 lbs that I am willing
to trade. On our boat here in Anacortes we have 20KG Bruce that is
just too small for our Bayliner. The winds whip us off the setting too
much. Our 40ft. boat is 15ft. tall and the winds blow us off. We'll be
heading back tomorrow to Tulalip and I will let you know exactly how big
the Danforth is.
Thanks for responding....
Dave

Danforth Anchor

papa charlie,

The Danforth is 50 lbs. The height is about 40 inches. there is a little bit
of rust on the points of the flukes, but the galvanize otherwise appears
to be good. I've taken pictures of it on my smart phone, but I can't upload
them to the internet right now.
if you could give me your internet address I think I could email them to you.

Regards
Dave

I am in the process of buying a boat with a Danforth, I think its 50 pounds. I will let you know in about 2 weeks if you still have yours. The Danforth is not large enough for the new boat.

How about you go with a slimmed down anchor swivel and you get to keep a good anchor?

I have tried that, but even the slimmest of swivels still is too wide for the setup on my boat. I would have to change out the SS guide and roller assembly to use it and that means gouging out my bow sprit.

Although that has cross my mind. But I have too many other projects I wish to complete first. If I still have the anchor when some of those are complete, I may do the mod to the pulpit and keep the anchor. After all that is the reason I purchased it in the first place.

anchor dimensions

Could you please tell me the overall length of the anchor and the width of the shank where the swivel would attach? Is the price still $200?
