Another Gulfstar "Deal"

Always have an eye out for the unusual sounding good deal. This may be one!
Read it all the way through only to find it is in Calif. not Seattle, darn, Would have been on this in a heartbeat and no I am not interested in trucking it to Seattle or barge it home to Ketchikan (Bridge to Nowhere) Alaska.

You could cruise it home. What a way to get acquainted with it. We're doing that. Well, a bit longer distance and a few twists along the way, but eventually we'll get it home. Only about 1250 nm.

Al, wasn't that proposed bridge the media labelled a "bridge to nowhere" really a bridge to the Ketchikan Airport? I remember having to pay $40 for a round trip ferry ride for my crew in a small car after deplaning in Ketchikan. Ouch!!

Yep FlyWright tis the same. $400,000,000 and change. We have a large air traveler arrival and departure as you found out. The ferry system is funded by the fare collected no subsidy by the Feds or State.
Using the engineers formula as I understand it, a bridge requires about 5% of cost to maintain per year and explains why many bridges across the nation are unkempt, save big name bridges such as the SF bay bridge.
Hard to justify such a construction and the ensuing maintenance cost in this fiscal era.
Now back to Gulfstars and the adventures of Billy111, maybe a follow up on his purchase.
