"Outback” has been admired by many while cruising the waters from New England to Florida. Her attributes go far beyond her salty good looks. She is sea kindly, economical, spacious, well designed and a very well equipped sea going long range trawler. Built in the USA by Hatteras, these heavily built, sturdy, small ships have a cult like following.

The journey is more important than the destination, and with her full displacement hull and Naiad stabilizers, she is designed to get there in comfort. Her time proven, built to last, twin Detroit Diesels, sip fuel at a miserly pace as you cruise to near and far off places.
If you’ve dreamed to live the cruisers life style and now want to live that dream this is your opportunity to purchase “Outback”, one of the most reputable, limited edition, long range trawlers ever built.

We also have "Outback" listed FSBO on Boatrader.com. We have an open listing with a broker, but can sell her on our own. We just listed her 2 weeks ago.

Thanks for the positive review.

Mystic,
Probably my favorite boat in the whole, wide, world.
There is a reason these beautiful old ladies are still around. i have a Hatteras 38 that aspires to be a 48 when she grows up. You are on the wrong coast for me, but I wish you the best with the sale. She's a beauty.

When I see 1976 my first vision is of a very dated interior, but not this vessel, wow talk about being kept up, very well done and appointed, wish I was in the market I would jump on this. All the best with your sale.

48 Hatters LRC for Sale/Heading north

Update;

M/V Outback is slowly heading up the east coast; no longer in Vero Beach, FL. She'll be available for showings along the way for qualified/interested parties. Next schedule showing is in Charleston, SC, in the coming weeks.

Thanks to everyone for a positive review. We've had very good feedback on the several showings we've had since she was listed in early March.

very nice. You also gave me the idea to build my own battery boxes when I convert to 6vDC house batteries. Last year when we were looking we looked at several Hats. Love them. Wish we would have seen this one and too bad its on the wrong coast....

Good luck, hope you sell her soon.
