Hey easy on the Kiwi's you never no when one will be cruising around the waters or pop up on the web.

It is true there are a lot of boats being shipped south especially with the strong Australian dollar. However by the time you fly over to inspect, survey and sea trial and then prepare and ship a boat there maybe some good deals down under, unless you make a real cruise of some great areas in and around the U.S

That said even after being gone from NZ full time for 26 years I still enjoy a good bit of Ozzie / Kiwi banter.

Dont overlook the US West Coast. There are several DFs for sale there - check with Horizon Yachts, some vessels are not listed. The West Coast may be an easier place to check things out and to transport.

Agreed! Not to mention that getting one here that's been hurricane damaged is almost impossible.

Peter & Ronie, But for your Canadian marine engineer friend I would urge flying over, actually I still would, were I buying, but that`s just me.
Buying boats, you kiss a few frogs before you find one that really is a Princess.

49' Defever rph possibly for sale

I have been thinking of placing my boat for sale. It is a 2005 with a full suite of options and is in immaculate condition and meticulously maintained. It is out of your stated price range, but is an exceptional vessel for anyone looking for a great trawler with a sought after reputation. If interested, PM me.
