41' Island Packet PY Cruiser trawler for sale

Bijou Listing.pdf

I had the boat listed for a few months with a broker in Clear Lake, but I've decided to sell it myself and lower the price to reflect the lack of having to pay a commission. It's a great boat, but our plans have changed. We thought we were going to do the loop and maybe the Bahamas, but my wife has decided she doesn't want to do that anymore.

We purchased the boat about 2 years ago and have done some updating. We had a new Garmin plotter installed along with a new Garmin radar right off the bat since the plotter and the radar in the boat were inoperative. On the way home from Florida to Texas we stopped at Sneed Island Boat Works in Palmetto FL and had them do some work. Sneed Island was the main yard recommend by Island Packet as they did commissioning work for them and were very knowledgeable about IP yachts. They hauled the boat, waxed and compunded the hull and topsides, removed old bottom paint and applied new bottom paint, installed a new macerator, a new thermostat for one of the fridge/freezers, and a new packing for the shaft seal, in addition to some other things I can't remember right now.

We then made our way over to Longboat Key (Healhustler's home base) to get ready for a cruise to Key West. We ditched the old CQR anchor for a new 25Kg Rocna from member vendor Parks at Hopkins Carter Marine, installed a new set of Lifeline AGM 125 AH batteries along with a new AGM start battery, and off we went to Key West for a vacation with the wife and kids. After that fun I then brought the boat back home to Texas solo via the ICW and it has been docked in Rockport Tx since.

Check out the listing for a full list of the updates and new equipment. The boat needs nothing and is ready to cruise. I think it would be a perfect ICW boat with the low air draft. We were able to get under most of the many bridges going through Florida, and it was easy to negotiate the locks in the Okeechobee and going through NOLA, because of the wide full walk-around decks. Plus she sips fuel with her efficient 110hp Yanmar-- burns about 2gph at around 7 knots, or about 1.5 gph at 6.5 knots.

If you are looking for a nearly new, turn key boat you don't have to work on constantly but just cruise, this could be the boat for you.

PM me with any questions. Thanks for looking.

Well damn. I see my link didn't post.

I was trying to link a document I made on Google Docs (it looked like it saved as a PDF), but I guess I did something wrong.

Maybe a mod can help me...

Your link works for me. I did notice that the photos are doubled up though. I didn't see a price either.
Good luck with the sale.

Strange. Price was at the top of my document. I will try to fix it when I get back to my office computer.

Price is $179000.

Here is the old broker listing until I get my document fixed.

Cardude: You should have mentioned that the boat can get swamped, pooped and go end over end just like it's Island Packett sailing brothers, and still come up for air. That shallow draft, full keel, low air draft and big ballast must make that one of the safest boats out there. If it had my dream stand-up engine room, I'd be on it.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention that.

Also forgot to mention the construction details. The IP boats are really well built it appears. No wood sandwich decks. Nice wiring, etc.

PolyClad®3 gelcoat system for superior gloss retention/crack resistance and protection against osmotic blisters — 10 year limited warranty.

PolyCore® deck coring material is decay proof and has strength and rigidity — 10 year limited warranty.

So you're providing a 10 year warranty ? Very nice.

41' Island Packet PY Cruiser trawler for sale

Whoops. I copied and pasted that from the IP website. The warranty was from Island Packet (not me obviously) , and since IP is no longer in business I'm thinking that the warranty is no good anymore. Unless the new buyers of IP honor it, which I kind of doubt.
