Hi Ben, have you traveled the ICW on Sand Castle? Pros/Con...We've been looking at the Marine Trader trawlers. Please keep me in mind if you hear of any that go on the market.

She's a great boat. Economical. Two separate cabins, two separate heads. Single Lehman. Easy to fix. I am modernizing her electronics each season. Full keel protects the prop. No bow thruster, but I have learned how to dock her.

Good luck with your search!

Not at all. I typically run between 1750 and 1950 RPMs, run 6.7 to 7.5 kts, and probably burn 2-1/2 to 3 an hour. I do not have a gage but my engine is not very thirsty at all. Look up Trawler Beach House on Google. He's got loads of tech info.

After reading the first post my first thought was "Marine Trader 36"!!!!! Check the newer Heritage east 36s.... Also, there is the occasional Marine Trader 38 or ever 40 that is single engine!!!

Maybe I should purchase a few lottery tickets. That is certainly a very nice boat, however the price puts us out of the market.

thanks

Also check out PT35; Performance Trawler. There are several available. There's one listed with United Yacht Sales in Stuart,Florida. I own one and am very happy with the design, space and quality.
