32' 1983 Single Engine Trawler

If anyone is looking for a great little trawler, we are selling. She’s 30 years old, and I can give a rundown of every little thing that is “wrong” if anyone is interested, but there’s nothing major. In fact, we (well, Modutech) finally solved the problem with the electrical system — it ended up being the Xantrex charger, which is being replaced today with a 30amp 3-bank ProMariner unit by my mechanic.

We’re a little sad to see her go - we’ve had lots of fun with her. The problem is that the layout just doesn’t fit our needs (never did really — the reason we bought her was that we got such a great deal). If she had two full-time staterooms, we would not be selling.

We may end up being boatless for a few months this winter, depending on when she sells, but we are not getting out of boating. In fact the opposite — we are upgrading. Two staterooms are a requirement (and really the only one). A pilothouse is in the short-list of wants, along with an enclosed cockpit, enclosed flybridge, diesel heating, and a large, comfortable salon. We actually do want the dock queen.

What we are selling:

1983 34' Europa style Fu Hwa Seahorse
300g diesel fuel tanks (2)
120g water tanks (2)
25g holding tank
11g water heater

1988 185hp Perkins Range 4 Diesel engine: M200TI (6.354)
Borg Warner Standard Velvet Drive Transmission
4 blade prop
Bow thruster
Inflatable dinghy (rowing only)

1 Group 27 starter battery. 4 Group 24 house batteries (New 2015)
700w Chicago Electric inverter
20amp Xantrext True Charger battery charger 30amp ProMariner charger
Battery Isolator
West Marine Battery Charge Monitor
New alternator (2015)
Rebuilt Starter (2016)

Upper and lower helm station
No Teak Decks, fiberglass painted (2016)
Suburban 3-burner propane range and oven (2014)
Sig Marine Cozy Cabin Heater (2013)
Updated cabin upholstery (2013/14)
Refinished countertops (2014)
New Jabsco head (2013)
Mounted 32" LCD TV (2014)
DSC capable VHF (not currently registered with GPS)

It's listed on Yachtworld as: 1983 Seahorse 34 Europa in Tacoma, WA, for $49,900

Nice boat! I like the overhang above the side decks. From what I've seen that's unusual on a 34' boat, and one thing I really wish I had on my 36'er. I'd love to be able to open the saloon windows when it's raining.

It has only one full-time stateroom in the bow with a full bed.

The salon table can be broken down into another double, and the settee can be pulled out to a single as well. Technically it could comfortably sleep 5 adults.
