Looking forward to meet and greet you and Sharon

Hello Wallace,

Glad to read you and that you are preparing your trip to the Bahamas.

Thank you for your advice on the Dollar Store Laundry bags. We are using them on the Erie canal.

We are continuing our trip towards Tonawanda we really enjoyed our Summer on the Canal. We stayed four days in Sylvan beach and three days in Oswego. We love Fairport, Little Falls, Lyons, Newark, Amsterdam, Rome, Spencerport...

We will stop on our way back to Holley and Lake Cayuga and Seneca for kayaking and swimming!

Looking forward to meet you and Sharon!

Kindest regards!

I saw Real Mountie on the Erie canal in July. It was one of those boats you walk by and think"Wow, I wish my boat was in that nice of condition"

Yes, single stateroom. We thank the designer, the late Ted Gozzard for that every time we get aboard. Actually, you can sleep some guests in the saloon.

You get a lot of boat room and privacy for the Master bedroom

I fully agree with Dave. Ted Gozzard may he rest in peace, has designed the Master bedroom in a way to obtain privacy for both Masters and Guests.

Mountie - the link doesn't mention anything about it being for sale. It might be in the owners only section. Do you have any more info on it?

Hello Donsan,

I will send you the coordinates in private message.

It is in the discussion inside the Pilgrim Discussion Group / General Discussion » #9 Grand Ole Gal is for Sale!#9 Grand Ole Gal is for Sale!
Dave Searcy 6 Dec 2016, 15:04

Located in Chattanooga, TN on beautiful Lake Chickamauga, it is with heavy heart that I'm putting the old girl up for sale. I've accepted a long term position on a project in Louisiana that doesn't allow me the time to cruise her like I'd hoped.

She is running well after bringing me down the Ohio from Cincinnati and up the Tennessee rivers in September and October of 2015. Interior has had some modifications for long term cruising and shows well. No A/C at the moment but a large refrigerator and combo washer/dryer are installed.

Oh, and she has a flybridge as well as the nifty little Gozzard tender. No, not interested in selling separate.

I realize that this is a limited audience but thought I would post something here until I get a broker sorted out.

Asking $125k

I owned a Pilgrim for some years in the mid and late 80's and cruised it from Southern New England down to and including the Chesapeake Bay living aboard for 6 months /year.. I give the boat a strong vote of confidence for protected inland waters where the designer told me he intended the boats to be used. My experience in seas four feet or greater always reinforced Ted's opinion of his design. I know that some people have ventured successfully into open waters with the boat but so have rafts and many others that should not. The boat does have a considerable tendency to roll underway and at anchor with any wake. I used flopper stoppers at anchor for that problem but had no good answer for roll underway maybe a gyroscope would work well for that. My experience really great inland protected water boat(cottage on the water) not a very good open sea boat.
