Could that trans be exchanged for a 3:1 ratio?

at the place it was rebuilt? Is the trans for a RH or LH prop? Motor mounts? Inst Panel? Wires from panel to engine?

Looks like a home made flywheel to transmission adapter. Also looks like some home made coolant plumbing. Did this engine start life as a marine unit or was it adapted to make work?

Stop being so judgemental and send him a PM. Not everyone checks TF daily.
You don`t have a boat to put the engine in, it can`t be that urgent.
