Ocean Alexander 1977 40' Trawler

1977 Ocean Alexander 40 foot Tri-cabin Trawler
complete with boat house.
$50,000 USD
Ocean Alexander 40 foot Tri-cabin Trawler is perfect for 2 couples
sharing or a live aboard for two. Designed for coastal cruising, this
Flybridge Trawler combines a wonderful presentation on the water with
a practical forward and aft stateroom configuration, each with their
own head. Built on a displacement hull with a full keel, the layout of
the Ocean Alexander 40 results in a notably spacious salon. The galley
and all amenities are located starboard side in the salon with tile
serving counters by the new propane stove and full size refrigerator.
There is a new microwave above the stove, along with generous
storage cabinets above and below the counters. The Master stateroom
has a walk around Queen berth, full hanging closets both sides and a
spacious head with tub and shower. The guest accommodations
feature twin berths with a centre insert to make into a double. She
also features a lower helm station located forward to starboard in the
salon for pleasant cruising even on inclement days. The engine room
access hatch is located beneath the salon floor. With a single 120 Ford
Lehman diesel she cruises efficiently at 7 knots, burning a skimpy 1.3
gallons of diesel per hour. Easy maneuvering with the recent addition
of a 24V bow thruster.

Harbor Marina, Washington State. Boat House features cement docks,

One of the bits of lore that I have never been able to confirm, until now, was the story that C&L Yachts, a Taiwan builder with a good reputation, had Alexander C... running the place, until he moved to Ocean, which became Ocean Alexander Yachts, and continued making a good quality trawler. Those pictures confirm the lineage.
One small point in the description, definitely a Semi-Displacement boat.

Ocean Alexanders were designed by Monk Jr. until very recently. The lines of this boat reflect a family resemblance.

What a gorgeous boat! Good luck with the sale.

Professional hauling overland to the east coast?
Load it on a ship and bring it over to the east coast?
A trip of a life time and bring it over on its bottom?
