Beneteau Antares

I thought for the ST crowd it might be worth posting the Beneteau Antares which they are calling pocket cruisers. They're from 21 to 27' and outboard powered. Base prices are from $50k to $100k. They appear to me to hit a niche very well that others have tried to hit, some successfully and some not so. They are also going to be building these in the Glastron/Four Winns plant in Cadillac.

I'm not familiar with the boat but I am familiar with Cadillac. That's good news for their economy.

The Beneteau acquisition from Platinum is good for Cadillac and Platinum did a great job just keeping Glastron, Four Winns and, to a lesser extent, Wellcraft and Scarab going.
