Singing Prop

I had asked here about a high pitched "whine" that appears to be coming from my starboard shaft at certain rpm's. Someone suggested it may be caused by a propeller phenomenon called "singing". I googled it and see that a remedy includes filing the trailing edges of the propeller. Is there anybody here that has had any experience with this? DIY or Prop Shop do you think?

Yes,
Had this phenomenon on two boats. Filing the trailing edge to a more "square" profile cured it for me. Did it myself with no problem. You don't need to take much off.
Interestingly, had the same issue with Pioneer until I coated the prop with propspeed.

Often hear it and usually its a cutlass bearing...changing RPM usually gets rid of it...but no reason a prop couldn't set up a harmonic either.

Had a singing prop. After two visits to the prop shop to file propeller edges, the singing stopped.
