Sabre Lehman?

The friendliest place on the web for anyone who enjoys boating.

Sabre was an English co that bought the ford engines and marinized them their own way. Same basic engine as a Lehman, but many of the bolt on components are unique. Sabre was not associated with Lehman, they just shared the source of their basic engines.

What hp is engine? The high hp ones are probably trouble. 120hp six probably ok as coolers could be adapted to Lehman style. 275hp probably a PITA.

Ok. so it isn't a Lehman at all. If is a Ford Sabre. NOT a Ford Lehman. Got it. the ones in this particular boat are 135.

Sabre has been marinizing diesels for decades, now a totally owned sub of Perkins. Perkins is owned by Cat. The Perkins Sabre 225TIs I have are identical to a Cat 3056, one brand painted blue and the other yellow.

I remember Tom your blue Sabre's are beautiful!

Having 2 different color engines would be disturbing to me! I think its my OCD, but I'd paint one engine to match the other one....or paint both white.
