" I have a 6hp outboard used only once or twice a year as a back-up and almost always needs a carb clean-up every time I use it"
That's exactly why I bought a Lehr. I also don't like dealing with gasoline in cans.

My Lehr 2.5 didn't make the trip to the St. Johns River so today was the first time I had it on the water. Ran great. Started easy. Ran it for about half an hour on the little propane bottle. Still quite a bit left. I don't think I'll need to carry the big tank just to dinghy to shore and back several times. I'm looking forward to some shallow water fishing with my new inflatable flats boat.

With a hose from the RV folks (or Worst Marine at 3x the price) a 20# bottle inverted can be used to refill the small throw away bottles.
