Perkins serial numbers

I need the serial numbers for each of our 1978 Perkins 6.354ts. I find several numbers on each but they are the same on both engines so suspect these must be part numbers rather than the serial numbers. Where can the serial numbers be found on these engines?
thank you.

That is the serial number but does not tell you much, you must contact Perkins and they will give you the "build number" from that serial number.
The build number leads to every detail of that specific engine.

We Googled Perkins engine operator/shop manual. Within one of those documents you will find the location of the SN for your model.

On our 4-236 the location is left side looking forward on the engine block.

Google seems to have many solutions on any subject.😜

I believe Pack Mule was correct for our models. Needed numbers to obtain TIP for Mexico entry. Thanks for the responses.
