Can any members recommend a qualified engine surveyor in the Seattle area?
The boat we are in the process of purchasing has twin 120 Lehmans aboard.
I would like someone who is very familiar with these engines.

Thanks in advance, Bill

I'll second that. Pat did the survey on my new boat and found a problem with the motor mounts not evenly distributing the weight that had been there since it was built 10 years ago.

Thanks for the info guys, I'll give Pat a call.

Kevin Ambrose at Diesel Power Systems. Great mechanic.

The new ActiveCaptain Services capability provides a map database for surveyors. Checking out the Seattle area finds 38 surveyors. It's very young in the life of this new capability so there aren't many reviews. But this will do for surveyors, worldwide, what ActiveCaptain has done to expose good marinas and boatyards.

Access to this can be found here:

You'll have to adjust the map to your area of interest. Leaving reviews about your experiences with surveyors will help get this started. Boat Brokers are also an open service category.

Second Kevin. He has done both my boats, and a friends, which he saved him from a bad purchase.
