Radiator Cap check

I pulled off the radiator caps on my two Lehman 90's. Both gaskets looked good. When I flexed one it crumbled in my hand. I think these were original 30 year old caps. I replaced both.

Have never understood why people think radiator caps and engine thermostats are supposed to last forever. Change them Atleast every time you change the fresh water pump.

Did you have trouble finding the required 5lb or 7lb cap?
