High Oil Pressure?

I recently purchased a 1974 Willard Vega with a 50HP Perkins with around 3400 hours on it. I just had a lot of work done on her including rebuilding the lift pump. On the way back to the marina I blew a hose. The oil pressure runs between 60 & 65 lbs at 2000 RPM. That seems a bit high to me but I really don't remember what she ran prior to having then work done. Can anyone comment on the pressure?

RE: High Oil Pressure?

Look in Da Book to find "normal."

Most oil systems have a by pass built in after the oil pump, could be gunked up.
