I'm doing the final details of a recon'd generator installation under a new hatch in my veranda. Everything has worked out thus far, but the last thing is the installation of the water muffler. The Northern Lights recommendations for mounting suggests an 18" rise of exhaust tubing from the outlet of the muffler to the lowest point of the exhaust tubing to the exit. Unless I go through the bottom of the veranda and loop it above, I can only get 12". The main exhaust for the Yanmar is also at 12" rise. Do I loop or not? Thanks in advance for your opinion.
