I have a 1985 38 Ocean Alexander Aft cabin with twin 135 Ford Lehman s
does anyone here have a guesstimate on the fuel consumption at cruising
speed say at 7.5 Knts 1500 rpm

I have a Blackwater 44 (similar to the Albin) with twin Fords 130hp natural aspirated and at 8knots use approx 13ltres per hour. I would think you would be very much the same.

my guess is 3 gph each. 6 gph total.

I have a single Ford/Sabre 135 (same engine) I burn 1.4gph at 1450rpm and this gives me a slow cruse of 7.1mph (AICW so in statute miles)

1550rpm gives me 8.2mph and is normal cruse w 1.8gph

I have a very efficient hull.

Bay Pelican Lehman 135 single engine, 1850 rpm, 2.6 gallons per hour ., 1600 rpm less than 1.9 gallons per hour.

My Ocean 40 averages 1.2 gph per engine at between 1400 and 1500 rpm. This was this season's avearage burn with mostly short legs and some generator and a little heater use. Props are 24x18.
