Dip stick tube

I have s Ford Lehman 275t Dirsel engine.we just took possession of the boat . When I was checking the oil the dip stick tube seems very loose ..or is s clamp missing is this a problem? Or is it made to be that way . Thank you fir your help

Those are usually a press fit, and looking in my manual that how it appears.
Only loose or does it come out?
Loose may not be a real problem, but it can be repaired a coupe of ways that I can think of.
