cummins 210 injection pump

Couple days ago a fellow fisherman steams 7 hours to home port to unload crab catch.Shuts down down engine to unload as usual and the engine will not restart.Seems like injection pump is gone.Lift pump is good ,fuel solenoid is good.4 grand for a rebuilt injection pump.It seems excessive to me.

Make sure you go through the whole bleeding procedure a few times before condemning pump. If air gets in it, it can be the devil to get out.

Also, a good injection shop can disassemble and repair pump and only replace the parts needed. Usually the whole thing is not trashed.

If in a remote area, it may be worth it to drive or fly to a shop to get this done. $4k is insane.
