Mainship Pilot 30 ll NexGen sound box

So, I have to gain access to the back of my Nexgen 3.5 kw to replace the main drive belt. The front half of the soundproofing box came of with little trouble but after a couples of hours struggling with the aft half I gave up. Has anyone removed these and if so how, I am about to get the grinder out.

I have the 5kw in my Pilot 34 and the sound shield back half is just held by some spring clips. After removing the front section, and disconnecting the cooling air hose, I just lift the rear half firmly straight up. The clips hold it pretty securely and I initially had trouble figuring it out.

Good luck,
Brett

Thanks Brett,

Unfortunately the room above the box in the Pilot 30 is so restricted I cannot not get it over the top of the Nexgen

Then unbolt the bolts holding it down and slide it out until you can remove the box.
