Anyone else running a Torqueedo 1003?

I just bought a Torqueedo 1003 motor for my dinghy. Anybody else running one? Anything I should be aware of or tips to keep it operating smoothly? I'm not looking for negative replies on how they suck and are underpowered with a short range!

Let me at least use it first! Lol

I've had one now for a number of years. I initially used it on my RIB I used for my sailboat dinghy and now am using it for my hard shell rowing dinghy as well as my slightly larger RIB. I have been really happy with it and have had no problems.

The only caution would be that the deadman switch has metal clips on them (so you can clip the tether to a shirt for example) but those little clips are not stainless and will rust.

Be careful not to cross-thread the connections for the batter and the tiller.

I got one of their original solar chargers and it worked really well. I think the new ones look a bit different and are likely better.

I think you will enjoy it.
