This is just another day on Galveston Bay and Clear Lake in Texas.

Here the good 'ol boys get liquored up then go wild in their go fast boats. The rules are "my boat is faster, so get the hell outta my way!"

Then we have the big boat guys who just stare at their GPS as they drive down the channel. Their rule is "get out of my way even if it means you must run aground".

............ Fishermen don't always show good judgment either.

This is very true. Many fishermen do not consider themselves "boaters" even though the fish from boats. Channels mean nothing to them, they fish where they think the fish will be. Many times in my cruising I find boats anchored in the channel and have to move to one edge or another to avoid them. And of course, avoid their lines.

Of course the fact that they were fishing in the channel is not a defense for running over their boat.

When I first saw this video, I thought it was going to be an auto pilot accident. I once had a sport fish heading straight at me and had to get out of the way in a hurry. It never slowed or changed course and I suspect it was on auto pilot.
