Sounds as if she remained calm and furnished accurate information on her location. Sounds as if you remained calm and relayed accurate information. Too often people panic or try to do something heroic instead of something that best suits the situation. Keeping an eye on him was a very good idea. I am not sure if she had been able to get the anchor up or the jet ski running that she could have kept an eye on him. The head of a person in the water which is about the same size as a float on a crab pot can be hard to find once you take your eye off it.

Yes, it was Troy's boat, with Troy on it. Dive Guana was the first to answer the call, I can't imagine how they got there so quick.

Well done Doug.

I agree that the wife did the right thing. When giving MOB instructions to passengers, that is one point I always stress. One person must maintain continuous eye contact if at all possible.
