Nav lights for small RIB

But not legal unless a sailing dingy or manually powered.and there are places that the LEOs aren't always forgiving on the ACIW as nd Chesapeake busy areas.

What's your basis (Inland Rule) for stating that it is not legal? I've never had a problem with it, anywhere on the loop or New England.

Not an all around white light...a tricolor is a sailboat thing.

No problems does not mean compliant.

In the old days there were lots of nav lights designed for temporary placement run off of D cell batteries. And I have searched for this style of lighting to no avail.

Ideally I'd like something like the LED light linked, but able to be run on one or two D cell batteries.

And how do you attach the nav light to the dinghy? My rib is very similar to a Highfield 9 1/2 foot with bow locker. Very much like the pic below but sadly without the female:

That Highfield dinghy in the picture appears to already have a very nice set of headlights. Just sayin'.

Nav lights for RIb

Go to defender website that have clamp, suction cup, and glued mounting options for red / green bow and 360 stern lights. Regular incandescent or LED bulb options.

I remember those old suction cup type D cell bow nav lights. They were like a converted old style tin flashlight with a green/red rounded lens. Likely discontinued due to falling off the inflatable after left on for too long. The good ole days. I have not seen them anywhere for decades. Maybe a glue on version will work with a suction cup glued onto it.
