Life Rafts..Coastal vs Off Shore?

What's the big difference between a Coastal & an Off Shore life raft? Given that they both have two inflatable tubes, a self inflatable canopy, double floor, etc. Is the main difference the inventory of survival items that each raft has? The Off Shore having a much better compliment of equipment? I have a coastal raft (Revere Coastal Commander 2- 6 man valise) but I also have a pretty complete Abandon Ship bag that is really well stocked. (including an EPIRB, portable water maker, water bottles, canned food, first aid kit, fishing equipment, hand held radio, etc.)

Browse through this site (great guys by the way) and all the differences should be pretty obvious. Offshore designed to be used for longer periods and in rougher conditions.

Offshore :: Recreational Life Rafts :: Life Rafts :: Life Raft Survival Equipment
