We can drive from pilothouse, portuguese bridge, flybridge or tower. Each has its place. On a nice day, the flybridge can't be beat, except by the tower. When its cold and particularly at night, the pilothouse is the place to be. For harbor cruises, close quarters maneuvering, docking, finding the best place to anchor, etc., the portuguese bridge is preferred. Overall though, especially since most of my use is multi-day offshore, the pilothouse is used at least 75% of the time.
