Probably applies to sail boaters more than trawler types, but...

Attention all Stunt Riggers, Stunt Pullers, Stunt Performers & Stunt Coordinators
A joint recall with Health Canada, the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (US CPSC) and Black Diamond Equipment, Ltd. has been issued.
Product recall: Black Diamond brand carabiners and nylon runners:
  • Black Diamond brand carabiners
The gate assembly on affected carabiners may not function correctly. This can result in a carabiner that provides lower-than-expected strength.
An improperly functioning gate could also allow the rope to become detached from the carabiner.
  • Black Diamond brand nylon runners
These nylon runners may have been manufactured using a tape splice that connects parts of the runners together. The tape splice will fail during use.
Visit Health Canada to find out what to do if your specific products have been recalled or find all the details here:

What you should do:
Consumers should immediately stop using the product and contact Black Diamond at 1-800-775-5552 or visit firm's website for further direction on having product inspected by Black Diamond for this hazard, or for further directions regarding inspection by place-of-purchase personnel or self-inspection. Consumers can also email the firm. Black Diamond will replace any improperly manufactured units.
