Breakthrough EPIRB

If you're thinking of buying an EPIRB, now might be the time.
ACR just released a new model that is a winner on several points.
First off it's less expensive. The street price is below $400 .
The battery replacement interval is ten years!
The battery is then user replaceable.

There is just no excuse to not have an EPIRB now.

That's amazing! The battery replacement price for my units is over half the price of that new. Important to remember that if your going to stay in compliance with the self deploying version, the hydrostatic release still has a 2 year replacement schedule.

Nice. I decided to go with two PLBs attached to our Gumby suits, that way if we get separated they can find use. But This may cause me to get one for the boat too.....Thanks for sharing.

Epirb

I noticed the same just recently. They are half the price we paid just a few years ago. This will be the first piece of equipment that we hand carry onto the new boat. Great post. Thanks
