Upper Michigan Anchorages

Traveling around the mitten and looking to anchor out as much as possible. I grew up here, so know a few, but have a blind spot from Tawas north to the bridge. Not finding much on AC or other forums.

I was in Harrisville for the fireworks and spoke to the dockmaster about anchoring. He said boats generally anchor between the two rows of bouys just to the north of the docks. There are breakwaters all around the harbor so even if there is wind you shouldn’t get much if any waves. It has been a couple of years since I was in Alpena but I think there may be room in the harbor to anchor. Have fun.
