Red Tide Conditions

What are the current conditions with red tide from Longboat Key to Boca Grande?
We live in St. Pete Bch/Pass a grille area and want to take a week cruise south with our Island Gypsy 32 in the ICW. Thanks Cole

Welcome to the forum!
Can't answer your question. If you don't get a response on this thread, PM "Healhustler", he lives in Longboat key.

Here something I came across today. There has been a lot of info on recent algae blooms and the Red Tide. Looks like they a going to experiment with pumping water underground to control Lake O discharges.

Greetings,
Mr. f. Interesting. Thanks. The first thing I thought of even before it was mentioned in the article was potential pollution of the aquifers. Yes, studies will be done but one politician seemed to insist he wasn't necessarily interested in a long term solution, he wanted a fix now. Hmm....
