True 80' expedition yacht $1,999,000

The price was reduced on LORA today, a 2002 80' Northern Marine trawler, a true offshore boat with 5000 mile range. This listing of mine has been on the market for over a year, it is hard to find a buyer who can take the time for long distance voyaging. Therefore I have convinced the seller to price the boat so it is the lowest of any of this type of expedition yachts in the world, the price is reduced from $2,295,000 to $1,999,000. Two boat owner wants it to sell.
Zero speed stabilizers, three generators, hydraulic power for a get home system, two water makers, many redundant systems. No exterior varnish or teak!
The boat is located right outside my office on the New River in Fort Lauderdale with a full time captain keeping the boat in pristine condition.

Is this the same builder that had a boat capsize at launch? If so, I feel for the owner.

Yes and no. This is the same brand but built several ownerships earlier. Built when they actually delivered the boats ordered. They were averaging between one and two builds a year at that time.

I toured a yacht just like this one at the Anacortes boat show several years ago. I stopped counting the number of heads at seven. Beautiful boat.

Walked by this boat with Tucker on the way to inspect the DeFever he has listed. This one made me weak in the knees.

Asking price reduced again today March 4, 2016 by $100,000 to $1,899,000
The seller is motivated.

Ok, What happened to Trawler Forum members? This boat was sold and closed yesterday. The boat will be loaded on a ship here in fort Lauderdale soon and be shipped to Victoria, British Columbia then go on her own bottom to Alaska to go into charter service.

That will make a great charter boat, but will be one of the largest in the area. I'm assuming it will be a crewed charter, not bareboat?

Yes it will be crewed charter, if anyone is interested let me know for the end of this season.
The new owner currently owns commercial passenger boats and this boat will join his fleet as the motor yacht SOUND ENDEAVOUR.

It looks a big brother to a boat I saw a couple weeks ago in Brownsville that still lists Kodiak as its home port. Spirit of Balto

I was gonna buy it but couldn't come up with the rest of the money.

I only needed another $1.5 million and I was there!

😄😄😄😄😄😄

(Nice boat)
