Brokerage discount to Trawler Forum members

As some of you know from having used my services I offer a discounted 8% brokerage commission to TF members and owner shown boats. As a boat owner I'm a lot different from typical brokers in that I want (because the buyers want) the seller involved in the process. I'd love to discuss your boat and what we can do to get her to a new home. Of course my services acting as your buyer's broker have always been at no charge to you.

I get the owner-shown boat concept, but what is the advantage of having a seller's broker in that context? What services do you offer the seller showing the boat?

Thanks for asking. A lot of folks don't realize just how much of the process is done via the listing, additional pictures, emails and phone calls, etc. The showings are extremely minimal when the boat is properly represented. Showings when everything else is done right is just for confirmation and is the completion of the process. I spend a lot of my time educating people about the ownership and cruising experience. People are buying a dream or lifestyle as much as they are a boat. I list my boats on Yachtworld, Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest, Instagram, Sailboatlistings, Craigslist, Graceyachting.com etc. I actively reach out to my client base and other brokers. I extend my wholesale accounts to my clients as well. The list of things is a little too long for this forum to list but I'd love to discuss with anyone in further detail. Many members here can also give some of the specifics and testimonials of the big and little things I do. Much of it is putting people at ease with the scary proposition of buying and owning what is often a bigger or first boat.
