Catalina line of Chris Craft

I know they are not 'classified' as trawlers, but are there any Chris Craft Catalina owners onboard? I looked at a couple the other day, more specifically a 426

I was quite impressed with the layout as a liveaboard vessel.

Any personal experiences here?

Hi. Owned a 42 Chris for 20 years and cruised Columbia river and Puget sound and Canadian gulf islands. Know tons about old wood Chris cruisers. Mine was 1952. Sold last yr.

Had one like this moored next to me in New Smryna Beach last week...liveaboard couple.....not my style but it's a choice available...

I've lived on my 1988 CC 381 for 8 years. Very comfortable double cabin layout. The downside is the gas engines.

But if you were primarily living on board and not traveling a lot, gas engines are fine, and certainly a lot less expensive to repair.

I had a deposit on a real nice one, and had to back out at the last minute was I just was unable to convince my wife to live on a boat.

Nice layout though, and even a tub/shower
