Gulfstar 36 MKII rare as hens teeth?

Would love to check one out in person, but I've been looking online and haven't seen any for sale in awhile. There's always a couple MKI's, but the lack of an aft sundeck, even the small one on a MKII, is a nonstarter

Any numbers on production? Or do people buy and hold onto these things and never let go?

Thanks!

I realize this thread has some age on it but I have a related question. Has anyone turned a MK I into an MKII? Seems a sundeck could be built over aft cabin maybe even partial sundeck leaving port side deck open to stern for easy on/off. Then just rip out aft cabin and build centerline queen with drawer storage under. Could even reuse existing bed parts for queen sides. Just reverse them... Anyone seen this done? I am no marine architect so would love to hear form those who might be able to speak into technical issues...
