Offer accepted

We have an accepted offer (at least a verbal, paperwork is in the mail) on a 1994 Carver 370.
After looking at quite a few boats while we were in Florida last month we found the Carver that was in much better condition than most of the others we looked at. Our search included taiwan trawlers and American manufacturers. This one has quite a bit of recent maintenance in the clean engine room and inside. Hull is nice and clean. It may not be our "ideal" boat but it is close enough and will get us on the water. Other boats we looked at in our modest budget range either had a nice engine room and not so nice inside or outside, or nice inside/outside and not so nice engine room.
So hopefully we can get the survey scheduled in the next week or so and get this done.

So true about getting on the water.
After owning several sail boats in California, we decided to change our attitude by not making it about the boat and making it about the adventure. Buying our trawler here on the East Coast was quick and easy with our new mind set.

This is from a 2 boat owner. You may not need to buy the perfect boat the first time, but the boat you buy should be well within the ball park. Our first boat (within the ball park for me, but not my girl) has been on the market for over a year now.
