New to the Trawler Forum from Poulsbo Washington

Hello all,
My home port is Poulsbo, Wa. I have owned a trawler now for 5 years and will never go back to a speed boat. My wife and I enjoy cruising Puget Sound and would like to hear from others in the area. Getting all my winter projects finished up and can't wait to start cruising once again. Will be at the Winter Rendezvous in Poulsbo, WA, February 6-8, 2015. Hope to see you there.

Dave

Welcome, Dave! Lots of good folks here from the PNW. Great waters for trawlers.

Tell us more about your CHB. Some of our members do better with pictures than words, so anything you could do to help them along would be most appreciated. \\

Welcome Dave! We also cruise Puget Sound and the PNW and visit Poulsbo several times a year. You will find the members of the forum very knowledgeable and helpful.

Thanks Al and drb1025,
The Stella Maris is a 1978 37 foot CHB. She has a single screw Ford Leman 120 Diesel. I've replaced all the legacy electronics and have replaced mostly with Garmin. We usually go out all summer with an extended 2 week trip the first 2 weeks in July. Last year we went to the San Juans and on day 8, outside Port Ludow, my fuel pickup pump went out. That was a 6 hour tow back to Poulsbo, thank goodness for Vessel assist insurance, 1600.00 bill, out of pocket 0.00. The wife and I sat up on the flybridge and enjoyed the ride back. 8 hour turn-around and back on the water. Thinking about going to south Puget sound this year, hear it's pretty good cruising down that way.

Any idea how to get rid of Newbie and replace it with a picture?

Dave, you'll need to create your own avatar. Go to "User CP" and then to "edit avatar." "Newbie" will be upgraded when you make a sufficient number of posts. The avatar won't replace your label.

Welcome, Dave! South Sound is great to cruise, as is the Hood Canal.

We love Poulsbo!
