Hello Brisboy,

I did not realise there were so many Aussies on this site, thanks for the welcome.

After working on so many boats I don't need to own a boat!, I can borrow or test run any of my past customers boats who are very grateful for past work etc. so a very cheap outcome for me and I can return them to their mooring and hand back the keys, I wish all boating was that easy!.

Yes, welcome Bladerunner. Good to have another downunderan...(I just made that term up, so it's now copyrighted), aboard the board. Sounds like we can expect some pearls of wisdom from time to time. I like your way of enjoying boating. Having had four, and their expense, and they were modest vessels, you are definitely onto something there.

Welcome mate, you will enjoy this site, lots of good people.
I am also a Marine Engineer, Class 1 Steam & Motor, just about retired now so can spend more time cruising.
Have to have my own boat as I don't know anybody who will let me have their boat for a few weeks at a time and head out to the Swains or down to Tassie.
We have a few Sydney people on board so you may be able to catch up.
