Cool Just a Short Hello

Am new to the forum. Long time boater but fairly new to trawlers. We have a 41 Ft. President. In almost 3 years of ownership now and I think i'm hooked. Looking forward to learning some things here.

Blessings to all

Glad to see another boater from LA! You keep your boat on the Northshore? We're in South Shore Harbor. Where you headin' this spring/summer? Oh, and welcome aboard!

Thanks cajun, We're at Lake Catherine Marina just next to Fort Pike and the mouth of the Rigolets. Probably won't be going long distances. Probably spend some days around the Gulf coast isands. Maybe around Chandeleur. I see you're from Lafayette. Spent a lot of time there in my youth. My grand parents were from there.

Been thinking about a guys trip to the Chandeleur Islands later this spring. I love to speck fish. Use the Nova as a mother ship and pull the bay boat to fish out of. BTW, crawfish coming in real good. Good Friday will have Lafayette smelling like a boiling pot...everyone has a crawfish boil!

Welcome. Good to see some more La. members. I'll be leaving Niceville, Fl. on Good Friday afternoon heading to Cypremort Point, La. (a little under 400 miles) via the ICW. Be passing thru the Riglets Monday or Tuesday (I hope) after a stopover in Gulfport. Picking up my new to me '83 Atlantic 30 ("Relenti"). A French word meaning "slow motion". My wife thinks it's fitting (And also that I'm crazy-being a "go fast" boater for 60 years. LOL Looking forward to the trip. Hoping for nice weather and having all systems a go.

Welcome from another one in Niceville on Boggy Bayou. If you intend to be over this way some time let us know and we can get together for a cold one and share some stories....

My son is driving my crew and I over Friday mourning and then we'll be loading, fueling and inspecting the boat and of course doing the closing($$$$). Hopefully we'll be on our way around 3pm. The boat is at Bluewater Bay Marina not far from you. Will not have time for a cold one (thanks) but if you get a chance to come by an introduce yourself. Another set of eyes is always helpful.
