Good luck, be careful.

I commercial fished salmon and tuna but avoided the Eureka bar whenever possible. Every time I stayed in Humboldt Bay someone died on the bar. One of my friends pitch poled a 36' troller coming in on that bar. Much worse that the Columbia Bar I use regularly. High tide, slack water is the best ride.
