Hello from Costa Rica! Krogen 75'

Hello everyone my father and I just got presented an opportunity to buy this boat from a friend of a friend. He states that its a 1998 75' Krogen that someone began restoring but didnt have the means to finish it. Can anyone confirm that its 75' or even a krogen?

Thanks!
Tom

I have more pics if necessary!

Wow, big boat! Not sure on size and brand. But she looks in working order, just needs some tender love and care! I see she has ZF Mathers controls nice. Good luck.

This link my help you.

Kadey-Krogen Yachts: History

As far as I can tell K.K. never made a 75' vessel. (But I may be wrong on that.) All the sites I have been to there is nothing about a K.K. 75', but that does not mean they did not build a one time costum job for someone.

There has to be some kind of paper work with the vessel that will tell you the Hull # and who made it and also the size of the vessel. Once you find out the builder and the hull # you can contact that company and get all the info on the vessel they have on it.

In any case. It does look like a nice vessel and with a little hard work she could be a great vessel from the looks of it.

All the best to you and happy cruising to you.

Oh. if you do find out anything about the vessel, let us know about it

Thanks

Another possibility is designed by James Krogen, and built by someone else. That stern sure looks like a Krogen design.

that thing looks really cobbled up...
If it was free it would still be no deal in my book.
looks like it was built by someone who didn't know anything about boats..

I am not sure there is any opportunity there..

If the boat is still in Boca Chica, Panama, get a hold of Jim or Kendal on "Sparta". They live there and know the boat.

I have to agree with Moonstruck on his post. Or another possibility is that this vessel is simply a knock off! Or it may be a 64 footer, but I don't believe it is.

As far as I can tell the largest vessel KK has made is a 64 footer. As of right now they largest vessel the make is a 58 footer.

I believe this vessel was not made by K.K.

Happy cruising to all

I was at the Krogen rendezvous at Roche Harbor this past September, one of the participating boats was a 40 foot Krogen that was of late 80s vintage. I had never heard of this boat before but the Krogen reps confirmed that it was indeed a Krogen. I can’t remember the name but it’s something like Sentinal, and I was told that there were 7 or 8 made. From the outside it looks nothing like any Krogen but once I went inside it was clearly all Krogen, the hardware used and interior design was unmistakable.
When I look at the interior pics you’ve posted I see nothing familiar, but I do agree the stern is very Krogen. I suspect a hull designed by Krogen but built by someone else. As far as I know Krogen has not built anything bigger than 58’.
